RESTAURANT HIGHLIGHT: BERNIE’S
If you haven’t been to Bernie’s by now, you don’t know what you’re missing. From the team behind @frankelsdeli, the cozy neighborhood bistro sits around the corner on Driggs and Lorimer.
They are closed on Mondays, take no reservations, and the crowds start to line up for the “list” at 4:30 on weekdays and 3:30 on the weekends. That being said, once you jump through all of the required hoops, you get to experience the deliciousness that is Bernie’s.
The menu is simple and done well- an ideal order would be mozzarella sticks, baked clams, wedge salad, a cheeseburger, half order of bernies vinegar chicken (do not miss this), and a chicken parm for the table 😉 don’t miss the brownie sundae for dessert.
Whether popping in for a martini or grabbing dinner with friends, this is the perfect spot to begin your night.
